Message from Town of Cary: Town Board and Commission Recruitment

May 13th, 2011 by webmaster Leave a reply »

Note: The message below came from the Town of Cary and was sent to the Brookstone Community Association Board with a request that we share the message as best we could.

The Town of Cary is currently seeking volunteers from within Cary’s corporate limits to fill vacancies on the Town Council-appointed boards and commissions. The Council believes that citizens should have input into Town government, and volunteer boards and commissions provide a formal process for citizens to do this by serving in an advisory role to the Town Council.

The Town of Cary is hosting a boards and commissions recruitment open house on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 5 p.m. at Cary Town Hall. At that time, interested citizens will be able to speak directly with our volunteers and staff about the various boards and commissions.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like further information.
