Fall Festival – Highlights

October 29th, 2009 by webmaster Leave a reply »

We held our Annual Fall Festival on Saturday October 31st from 2:00 – 4:30pm in the pool parking lot. There were lots of fun activities including a bounce house, crafts, games, snacks, and some wild Halloween music. The highlight was the costume parade where very tough decisions had to be made for the category awards.

We had at least 81 kids having a blast based on how many checked out Halloween Passports. These kids were surrounded by their parents and friends. Many thanks to those volunteers that were there to help, especially those young adults that don’t dress up much any more, but still gave their time to help the kids have fun (you know who you are – you ran the ring toss, bean bag, face painting, and pin the nose on the pumpkin stations).

From Anna Johnson – the Social Chair: Thank you, thank you ALL for making this year’s Fall Festival so great! I think it went really well and it DEFINITELY wouldn’t have happened without so many great volunteers! I appreciate your time and effort in supporting the neighborhood and kids at the various stations on Saturday. It was really nice to see everyone come together and work hard so the kids could have a good time.

Don’t forget the next social event, the Brookstone Winter Fest & Sleigh Ride (Dec 9th, see the Brookstone Calendar).
